Welcome to Coach’s Corner, a place where I share the coach’s perspective view from two different chairs – the office and mat-side. Having coached at every level and age group, I try to focus on what is consistent throughout each level and what makes each development stage unique. Having been a former middle school basketball player cut from the first year of tryouts, going out for wrestling as 68 pound 7th grader made sense to me. Shortly after my first official pin fall, and around the time of acquiring my first wrestling poster (Kurt Angle Gold Medal), I was hooked. As a late comer, I have always been able to look at wrestling in a different light than my peers who started much younger. I love this sport and I care about it’s future. Having not lived the often plagued culture that is youth sports and sports specialization at a young age, I see a lot of areas for wrestling to capitalize. Whether it is youth to college, the health and future of our sport depends on 3 categories:

Coached NCAA DIII Muhlenberg College for 3 seasons
- NWCA Scholar All-American Team/1 Academic All-American (6 straight semesters Team GPA increase)
- Took the program from a 2-60 record in the previous 5 years to an 18-30 record in 3 seasons
- Recruited over 30 Student-Athletes in just under 3 seasons
- Won an NWCA ‘Better Than Good Graphic’ Best of Brand Title and nominated for best added value video
- Led fundraising efforts that saw almost 100k in contributions, gifts, and donations in under 3 years. Won the Mule Madness Cup (an annual fundraising competition between all department sports) 2/3 years.
Coached NCWA Stony Brook University for 3 seasons
- Launched first collegiate competitive program on a 3k budget
- 12 National Qualifier’s in 2 seasons (2 Round of 12’s)
- 5 Academic All-Americans
- NCWA National Duals 15th Place Team Finish/Ranked Top 25 Team
- Former NCAA DI Wrestler at the University of Pittsburgh under Randy Stottlemyer
- Wrestled at Parkland High School under Jim Best and mentor John Toggas
- Wrestled at Pocono Mountain High School under Nazareth alums; Rusty Amato and Mike Herceg
- PIAA AAA State Qualifier, District XI and Northeast Regional Runner-Up
- Former NCWA Wrestler at Northampton Community College
- 2x Fargo National Qualifier – PA Freestyle and Greco-Roman Team
- Head Club Coach and Clinician for Get 6 Wrestling Club
